Education
Central Technical H.S.
Arts & Marketing Major
I chose to go to Central Technical School because at the time they had a program dedicated to the visual arts, as well was known to be one of the best and diverse programs in the city with over sixty courses. The courses I took included photography done in darkrooms where you process your own film. Sculpture and life drawing from live nude models. Art history class where we were taught from the first hieroglyphics to the modern art movements. Digital art class working from the G3 bubble Bondi blue Mac; the newest in 1998. Ceramics, like the Ghost movie style electric pottery wheel with a kiln. And my favourite; printing class where we learnt about screen printing, lithography, etching and block printing to name a few. Overall a well rounded art program that gave a great start to a career in the arts.
