Technical Design Lead, Brand Studio – Webmaster
The Webmaster and Brand Studio departments develop internal web standards processes, external products and consumer websites. With a focus on frontend design and development and standards, I analyzed, designed, developed, coded and managed websites and web applications. I managed and delivered Google’s product marketing strategy, bringing Google products and services to thousands of users in the Middle East and North Africa.
– Specialized in Human Centered Design, User Interface Design, User Experience, Rapid Prototyping with working experience of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript front-end development. Webmaster lead for Right-to-left (RTL) language and user interface design for Arabic and Hebrew languages. Launched 40+ product websites and initiatives in developing markets.
– Managed external agencies on Google AppEngine. Designed the user experience of the G+ Brand Tracker for the Google Think & Insights Team. We managed complex data research conducted by Ipsos from 100+ spreadsheets to an interactive portal that gave thousands of Googlers instant access to consumer trends that would have otherwise been lost in big data.
– Used Google Apps and APIs to develop, managed and coordinated vendor projects across multiple regions and teams, including FormBox Extended (internal), Insights MENA, Insights Africa and Googledays.
– Managed executive and global marketing requirements from ideation to launch, using Design Sprints and Design Thinking methods and user discovery and personas.
– Acted as regional design ambassador, bridging the gap between engineering and marketing. Conducted outreach through Google’s community-driven events like Startup Weekends, gdayX, Devfest, Google Developer and university events.
