I grew up in a small town named Diezmero, where inventing was a hobby for everybody. That remote place located in La Habana, Cuba, was the cradle of my vision as a designer. Cubans have always been self-taught architects, engineers, and constructors because they have to learn these things in order to survive. Since I inherited this feature, I was always building new things. When I was six, I started sculpturing models of wooden ships. I would test my inventions in the lakes near my home.

Later, I watched the movie Titanic and I realized that I wanted to create a vessel that could surpass any engineering barrier to prevent another similar catastrophe from happening. That was when I perceived that I wanted to become a naval architect and engineer. Over time, I started designing several different types of vehicles such as yachts, cars, and planes. Read Less
