I initially had responsibility for in-house graphic design projects, but soon progressed to carrying out work for both local and national companies. This included creating branding, websites and brochures for small independent business start-ups, alongside producing concepts and branding ideas for international companies such as TUI Travel PLC for their Thomson brand.

During this time I also completed several photography projects, including producing images for Food Local Food's website, Christmas campaign and delivery vehicles and The Original Sofa Co's website.

Senior Key Account Manager (Sony Account)

Working as part of Sony's local area marketing initiative, my aim was ultimately to develop Sony's sales within my region.

This was achieved through a variety of methods, including building excellent relationships at a variety of levels within each key account, making favourable presentations on Sony's products, effectively managing any account issues, conducting market research, creating local area marketing schemes, writing feedback reports and then presenting these to the rest of the team, product managers and executives at Sony's European Head Office.

Shillington College

Certificate IV in Design (CUV40303), Graphic Design

Within a group limited to 15 students, at least 2 full time lecturers always on hand and class time strictly set at 8am-5pm Monday to Friday, this course created an intensive and professional introduction to Graphic Design. Running like a small studio, commercially relevant briefs were provided and then time was allowed for lateral thinking, creating rough visuals and brainstorming, along with consideration of design principles, colour and typography. However, a solution would be expected to be presented to the class for critique within (at most) a couple of days.

The production process was covered, including pre-press and printing methods and industry experts regularly spent time in class including Timba Smits, representatives from Frost Design and Lonely Planet.

Our end of year Design Showcase was held at the Guilford Lane Gallery, Melbourne during Victoria's State of Design Festival where I was presented with an award for graduating academically top of my class.
