Andy Yu
Graduate Architect
Melbourne, AustraliaAndy Yu is a graduate architect who positions his work as an ongoing dialogue between sense and sensibility, producing collateral with a focus towards making architecture as a creative expression.
Andy graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Masters of Architecture, his majors were Social Studies and Digital Design. He was granted the Melbourne Abroad Program twice during his Masters which he studied in Copenhagen, Stockholm and worked for BIG. Since his graduation he has worked in Melbourne for LAB and Lyons. He later relocated to Tokyo to work for Sou Fujimoto Architects.
In 2012 he returned to Melbourne, he is currently an active member of the Victorian Young Architects Group, with the focus of defining the roles of young graduate architects in the building industry ie. new modes of practicing and collaboration. He has been teaching Architecture Design at the Melbourne School of Design since 2008.
Born in Taipei, raised in Melbourne, he speaks fluent English and Chinese Mandarin.
