Born in Curitiba, Brazil, Ana developed a love for the arts and a passion for creativity at an early age. She chose to pursue the study of architecture and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2002, receiving the prestigious Luther Lashmit Design Award and Traveling Scholarship.

After completing her studies, Ana joined Morris Architects in Orlando, Florida where her project focus has been primarily in masterplanning, hospitality and entertainment design. Her fluency in several languages and love of travel has been an asset to the firm’s international work and she has been involved in more than 50 projects in countries including the US, Brazil, China, Singapore, Dubai and the Caribbean. In 2007, she relocated and opened the first satellite office for Morris in Nashville, Tennessee. That same year Ana Carolina Mönnaco became the first woman and youngest recipient of the highest honor given for architectural illustration, the Hugh Ferris Memorial Prize, for her rendering of the Coral Helix, a 360º viewing gallery of a live coral reef exhibit.

In 2009, MÖNNACO was founded in Nashville to compliment her architectural work with Morris and allow her greater focus on the visual arts. Read Less
