Ali is an award-winning creative director with over 100 international awards to his name. He was ranked one of the "Top 50 Copywriters In The World," in 2013 as per Directory's Big Won Report.

Ali's passion lay in solving his client's problems with the freshest and most unconventional ideas possible. And whilst creativity is important part of his process, Ali also realises that effectiveness advertising is an integral part of the solution. He truly believe creativity can solve most of the world's problems, and telling a good story requires strong insight that consumers can connect with.

Over the last 10+ years, Ali has worked on international clients such as: Nestle (Fitness, Nesquik, Lion), Coca-Cola, Unilever (Dove, Sunsilk, Pond's), Sony, L'Oreal, Ikea, Heineken, Tiger Beer, Volkswagen, Jeep, Master Card and Harvey Nichols.

He has also won numerous awards and accolades along the way including trophies at the prestigious awards shows such as: Cannes, D&AD, One Show, LIA, Clios, Epica, NY Festival, Effies and Dubai Lynx.

Ali's most successful campaigns were his Public Awareness Radio spots titled, 'Rescue Radio', which helped abused maids escape from their abusive employers with secretly coded messages in the radio ads. It was lauded as one of the most awarded pieces of work to come out of the region and also helped to place Ogilvy Dubai in the Ogilvy Cadre (The A-list of Ogilvy's top 15 creative agencies from around the world) for the first time ever. OgilvyAction Dubai also received it's highest ranking ever since it's inception in 2007. The work went on to win more awards and continues to change the Lebanese landscape for domestic worker's rights till this day.

Amongst Ali's success in award shows, he has also been very sufficient with attaining new business for the agencies he has worked for. His pitch win success ratio stands at 85%. At OgilvyAction, Ali helped win the regional account for Grohe Luxury Bathroom fittings, which was valued at over $3 million retainer. He have also helped win the regional account for Viva Telecommunication for the Bahrain office and the regional account for Volkwagen Middle East.

At FP7/DXB, he was part of the leading team to help win the much sought after Harvey Nichols account in a pitch that beat out 7 other agencies. Ali also helped to win over 10 other major pitches in the last 3 years including Lipton's Tea, Magnum ice creams and Arla Foods. He also sat on the FP7 Creative Council, which helped organize pitch-win strategies, presentation as well as manage the creative output across 18 offices in the region.

When he is not working late or still learning how to be a Dad, Ali enjoys training in the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He has an innate passion for sports journalism and is a contributing sports writer/journalist to various media outlets across the world. He recently launched Dubai's first-ever Mixed Martial Arts show, which he co-hosts entirely in Arabic. He loves food, travel and weird people. Read Less
