The firm strongly believes that design should be owned, cherished and experienced by all and it shouldn’t be governed by cost. We believe that design never equates to cost, but the materials used to conduct design completes the equation. This belief drives us to conduct design, bespoke to a client's need. The firm emphasises on the need to Conceptualise, Collaborate & Celebrate Design and thereby encourages the client to become a part of the team to celebrate the design experience.

A M Architecture & More is a young design consultancy firm, established in 2012, deep rooted in Chennai. The firm is involved in providing design solutions and experiences in varying genres of the architectural & interior design industry. We celebrate our association with the following clientele -

Joined the firm as a consultant Architect to Design turnkey projects and also held the position of General Manager - Technical, to ascertain the carpentry details executed, followed design.

Timber frame designs using Glulam timber beams -
a) Curtain wall glazing & roof light system for Kings College Music Rooms, Cambridge
b) Environmentally friendly, reduced site build, wooden panel based system for Brassingbourn Children's
School.

Worked on projects ranging from Architectural & Interior Design for Residential homes, apartments, hostels, corporate offices ranging up to 1,00,000 sft

Worked on varying projects ranging from Proposal for a Mall, residential architecture, retail interior design, design of furnitures to corporate interiors between 2000 Sft to 10000 Sft.

Project Architect
1. Fab India Outlet, Besant Nagar, Chennai. (Retail Interior Design, Until completion)

Under the guidance of the Principal Architect Tony Joseph, as trainee architect I was involved in production of drawings by manual and AutoCad drafting. Through constant sketching exercises, I was able to enhance my sketching skills.

Urban Design Thesis - Millennium Urban Park - A waterfront regeneration proposal for the MU9 site in Gateshead, United Kingdom.

Masterplan & Design code - Loadman street, Elswick - a residential/ mixed use development masterplan proposal with the design code application.

European Study Visit to Parma, Italy - Turning the Page - A one week intensive project undergone at Parma, with the involvement of City Council to achieve a good understanding of the public domain & participative process.

Revitalization of the town centre, Hexham - A group project which was a mixed used Development proposal in the historic context of the market town. Was in the top 5 groups of the class, who exhibited the work for the Hexham Council and the public.

Skills gained - The coursework has enhanced my understanding of detailed analysis undertaken before the design development. Group works has strengthened my ability to work in a group and develop a great working relationship. I have gained confidence and strength in my presentation skills, through the presentations of the project at various stages. Writing skills also has been deeply enhanced through the university coursework.

Architecture Thesis - Indian habitat centre – a green building approach, Trivandrum, Kerala, India.

Transport Interchange - Bus Station for Ramnad District, Tamil Nadu.

Urban Design - Revitalization & redevelopment of slum, Erukkancheri, Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Skills Gained - The architecture education of 5 years helped me become a competitive and confident person. The design perception and the communication skills were enhanced over the period of schooling. The internship undertaken with a local architect in Kerala, India, helped me understand the practicalities of the architect’s work and helped me develop my drawing and detailing skills.
