Earth hour in Pune: Battigul
Battigul (Light Off) to mark the Earth Hour was observed in Pune at the city level on 29th March 2008 .The citizens of Pune switched off the lights and electrical appliances in their homes and workplaces for one complete hour between 8pm to 9pm.
Created Posters to propagate the Campaign.

Eco-Friendly Pune Expo 2008
MCCIA Expo '08 was a landmark event wherein for the first time in the history of the State of Maharashtra an event was made carbon neutral.
ALERT provided the organizers with a new theme for the annual event based on “Eco-Friendly Initiatives”. The carbon emissions of the entire event were sold and thus the concept of Carbon Offset was realized.
Designed theme logo, backdrop, signage graphics, extended the design through eco-friendly merchandise crafted by women's self help groups.

Dust-Bin Campaign: An initiative of 'Alert' and ‘Youth To Youth’:
On 9th February 2008, the members of ALERT and Youth To Youth rallied on the roads with placards referring to cleanliness and environmental conservation. One of the major challenges of urbanization and consumerism is that of disposal of solid waste. The answer to unclean roads is personal discipline and awareness on part of each inhabitant of the city.
This campaign aimed at making usable dustbins, as common a sight as two-wheelers on the roads of Pune. Along with installing makeshift garbage bins along the road, emphasis was laid on segregation of waste into dry and wet garbage.

Earth...My Valentine! :
Youth in over 1000 strength thronged Sambhaji Park on 14 February '08, on the occasion of Valentine's Day, having rallied through the streets of Pune flashing colourful placards that stated 'Earth- My Valentine'. ALERT and youth organizations declared their love for mother Earth in this heart-warming endeavour. Through songs, jingles, street-plays and speeches dedicated to mother Earth, youth celebrated the occasion in a unique style.
