I first started to appreciate design for the first time by playing around with typefaces and geometric shapes in my dads Power PC, and since then I haven't been able to stop trying to figure out how the most complex systems work, and what I can do or build with them.

I think this essential sense of wonder is the most essential ingredient for a designer, since is the main reason someone would want to question something that exists and make the things that don't.
Effective design doesn't exist in only one form, but rather it projects onto its environment and complements it instead of competing or cluttering, which makes well design things the best tool confront any problem.

As a designer I approach my projects by acknowledging its context, and planning from the very beginning how my designs would interact with their environment, I think this gives my designs a longer lifespan. Read Less
