I remember playing with my dad's video camera long before playing with a stills camera. I remember playing as a kid on the floor of my bedroom trying to make a film with a ladder, some string and my teddy bears. My interest in photography came later. During my Erasmus university year abroad a friend showed me how to control basic speed and aperture on a camera. That's when I got hooked. Not only for photography but also for the taste of being elsewhere, moving and getting to know unfamiliar environments. I also enjoyed meeting new people inspite of being somewhat shy. To make this happen I travelled the world alone for almost two years. I didn't really study photography although I did go on an intensive course at photography school in Paris. At university I originally studied management and have since been working as a freelance journalist, producer and cameraman. Today I am working within both media although I feel more and more inclined to develop my photography skills. I am extremely fond of photojournalism, travel photography, portraits and nudes.
