The Graphic Designer is responsible for coming up with conceptual designs for book interiors on original titles for Dover. They will need to see projects through from the beginning to the end process of laying out book interiors for print purposes. A graphic designer must have the ability to multi-task, work well under tight deadlines and shift priorities. The Graphic Designer will utilize the MAC computer system with the programs InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator to digitally format pages to pdf files that will be uploaded to the softproofing system that will go to print.

Responsibilities include the set-up and production of monthly publication, American Theatre magazine - create layouts; download, maintain, and check specs for photos; check artwork for advertisers through preflight program; upload completed layouts for print; export and save completed layouts for digital publishing - creating various print media (flyers, invitations, brochures, posters, booklets, etc.) for special events; maintain photo archive on company server; design, create, and send several e-blast campaigns on a monthly, bi-monthly, and as needed basis; other duties as assigned.
