Alejandro’s romance with design began when he was young, way before he knew what Graphic Design was. Surrounded by designers in his family, he would go to his father’s studio back home in Colombia and be awestruck by the energy of a creative agency.

It was not long before he found his calling and moved to New York City to go to college and pursue a career in design. A keen enthusiast of art and culture, he has since worked with clients in the publishing, corporate, culture, art and non-profit sectors.

A 2014 graduate of the Masters in Branding Program at School of Visual Arts, Alejandro brings an analytical and strategic approach to design. Currently he works for Paddle8, an online marketplace for collectors hosting auctions of art, design and luxury collectibles. As the Design Director, he has been leading a team to redesign Paddle8's visual identity, as well as rethink and improve the user experience across the brand's e-commerce, mobile and physical platforms, where he constantly strives to articulate design strategies based on a keen understanding of why people collect.
