Hi! Thank you for taking some time out of your day to learn a little bit about me.

I’m the granddaughter, child, and sister of pilots who love electronic gadgets. I grew up in a home where the latest technology was celebrated and always sought out. For fun my dad taught me to solder circuit boards and one summer we built a satellite dish. So when it came time to find my creative path, UX design was a dream come true. It’s the best of everything I’m passionate about.

I have tons and tons of interactive experience going back to 1995, the bulk of those years in senior positions, directing projects for high-profile print and interactive clients such as Walgreens, Sears, Kmart, Unilever (where I managed the packaging design for the Dove & Degree brands), OfficeMax, Sony, and Disney.

I even spent a little time at Enron. (Shh!)

I’m incredibly resourceful and can dig deep to make things happen.

I always see my role as one which should empower others. My job is to make it possible for creatives to do their very best work and to keep strong bridges built between the design teams and stakeholders. My method of brand management is like sailing a boat. You keep your eye on that spot on the horizon, know where you want to go, and make sure you stay focused as you incorporate your learnings into your overall strategy.

I’m very adept at bridging between the UXA, stakeholder, creative, and development teams. I communicate in a way that doesn’t talk down to the client, yet they feel informed and included in the project.

I believe in strong process, due diligence, and proper roll out. I know how to separate the subjective from the functional and keep those 2 conversations moving so we end up with a hard-working design that honors the Form Follows Function methodology, yet is gorgeous and engaging.
