Education 2014-2017
University of Portsmouth
BA Hons Creative Writing & Film Studies.
A joint honours degree focused on developing writing skills across a broad range of subjects.
The combination of subjects on this course created pathways with a variety of writing styles which included: Film journalism, Screenplay, Fan Fiction, Poetry for Stage and Play, Literary Journalism, Historical fiction, Stageplay
The course gave me a solid grounding in formal research, academic writing and creative writing. The combination of the joint honours allowed me to research subject areas such as film, journalism and fiction with equal amounts of critical thinking combined with creative practice.
My final year project was a two part submission: a 10,000 written artefact, a novella, in the style of Stephen King and a Critical Essay of 5,000 words engaging with my work.
This subject areas covered in this course allowed me to develop a wide range of material, from Shakespeare to my own work, as extra curricula, into short films.

2013-2014
University of the Arts London
Performance Design & Practice
Based in Central St Martins, Kings Cross, this course gave me access to a wide range of performance disciplines whilst providing a technical base to work from. Challenging common held assumptions and accepted norms, the course provided the opportunity to experiment with materials, colour, light and historical reference, to create my own practice.
Qualification gained: Higher Education Diploma

1990-1992
University of Portsmouth
BTEC City & Guilds in Restoration & Decoration
A two year full time course that taught a range of decorative skills and artwork which included: Faux Finishes, Gilding, Murals, Glass Etching, Wood Carving, etc

Personal/work history.
Pre University I was a freelance artist and property renovator, working on conservation projects as well private and commercial businesses.
After completing BTEC course in 1992, I worked in New York State for two consecutive seasons as a scenic artist and set designer in a privately run summer camp for theatre. Working alongside artistic and technical professionals from across the USA, I was part of a small team housed in a theatre working to a three week deadline to put on four shows over a Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Returning to the UK, I joined a local theatre company and took on the responsibility as designer. Working with small budgets, I needed to be versatile and imaginative in ensuring my designs were eye catching and workable.
As a result of working in theatre I became involved with acting and have appeared in major feature films as a background extra, as well as a featured artist in other productions.
Whilst studying at Central St Martins and Portsmouth, I have become involved in film making, adapting existing narratives and developing original works.
I currently hold a full driving licence and am bilingual in French and English.
