Mechanical engineer by day, inventor by night. I work as a mechanical design and manufacturing engineer at Repligen designing bioprocessing equipment. On my free time I try to further my company, IAMDesignProducts, by developing exciting new product ideas. This portfolio is an expression of my process and uniquely creative approaches to solving many different types of problems, formulating a solution, and executing a solution. Both of my parents are professional potters and craftsmen, which is an extremely rare profession these days. Some people think it's very odd I chose engineering, but most don't realize how closely art and engineering are tied together. Both represent the need to create, to think conceptually and bring a project from thought to tangible matter. Engineers just need to make that end product as efficiently and real world applicable as possible. Being able to visualize and express ones thoughts and ideas in engineering is invaluable, and I bring some unconventional talents to the table. Read Less
I was president of BU's SAE/Baja club, where we built and raced a go-kart in a country wide event. It was an extremely large amount of work, having to design the frame, and then putting the whole thing together, all while meeting SAE's strict rules and standards.

I was president of BU's SAE/Baja club, where we built and raced a go-kart in a country wide event. It was an extremely large amount of work, having to design the frame, and then putting the whole thing together, all while meeting SAE's strict rules and standards.

I was part of BU's design and engineering club ('D&E'), which is a very new group at Boston University that hosts speakers who boast real world experience from all different realms of engineering and design fields.

I worked on most of my outside projects in BU's "Imagineering Lab", and while working at BU's new Engineering Product Innovation Center. Because of these facilities I now have hands on experience with manual and CNC mills/lathes, 3D printers, and measuring devices. Read Less
