During my time in college studying graphic design, I was a head graphic designer and exhibit designer, responsible for office decor, painting, exhibit design, creating the company logo, letterheads, envelopes, business cards, posters, photography of products, exhibit design for the head office, and set design for the company's international exhibition.

In 2004, I co-founded a graphic design firm, Square, where we took on jobs such as ;
story illustration, album covers, book covers, logos, catalogs, posters, brochures, typographies, and company branding.

In 2009, SQUARE was relaunched as Illius Design Studio once myself and my partners had moved to India for further studies. We took on jobs such as ;
branding, logos, brochures, letterheads, envelopes, story illustrations, posters, album covers, book covers etc.

In 2009, I co- founded another brand, Exbachay where myself and other partners were designing and making furniture, leather products, jewelry, light, home and office equipment, stage designs, and musical instruments.

I was working with a team of other artists to create a psychedelic stage design for the Paranormal Attacks show using light and string art.

Performance and Interactive design for Yalda night
Yaldā یچهلشّّ Night (Persian: ب دا shab-e yalda) or Chelle Night (Persian: ب
Shab-e Chelle is an Iranian festival celebrated on the winter solstice. This corresponds to the night of December 20/21 in the Gregorian calendar and to the night between the last day of the ninth month (Azar) and the first day of the tenth month (Dey) of the Iranian solar calendar.
Myself and a team of artists were responsible for the performance and interactive design elements for annual Yalda night at Arg shopping center in Tehran.

Responsible for designing and creating all leather costumes and accessories used in the movie.

Myself and other artists were responsible for creating Tehran's first Scaperoom, which became one of Tehran's top escape rooms. For this job we were creating everything from the story to set design to props, the whole production was managed by myself and a team.

I was responsible for creating the stage props, accessories examples' of this are as follows, I transformed a Toyota Silica into a vintage car as well as creating the full set design by hand such as beds, walls, chandeliers, telephone box etc.

With the help of a dedicated team, I designed and constructed the movie's setting and all accessories and props used in the movie.

I have completed a few construction projects with a team where we built eco-friendly homes using the earthbag technique. Earthbags are a natural way to construct and design any space. I have constructed and designed three such homes using this the earthbag technique.

I created leather costumes for all actors involved in the movie.

I created a playground for children's activities from the ages of 4 to 13 years. All games were designed to improve skills such as balance and movement.

My responsibilities included creating and designs set designs, props as well as arranging everything that was needed for the stage. Creating and designing costumes and accessories with the head costume designer.

I designed and constructed a local guest house using materials found nearby, such as clay, wood, and stone, in the community of Ghiel situated on Hengam Island in the Persian Golf.

I was responsible for designing and constructing a wooden bungalow, a sailing boat, and furniture. In my free time, I created sculptures from wood to beautify the property and also made some didgeridoos for fun.

I collaborated with two other artists from Rwanda and Kenya to create high-end products using ethical, sustainable, and locally sourced materials. We designed and produced products by hand, using such medias as leather, glass, brass, string, wood, etc. We also collaborated on creating mixed-media paintings, sculptures, hanging interactive displays, and several animal-inspired digital collections.

I collaborated with the Afrikan art kollective team in the Ekilawuli studio where we transformed recycled glass into functional items like sculptures, lights, cups, and plates. I then created my own creations using glass beads from Ekilawuli studio which was a collection inspired from African masks where I used wire and glass to create hanging displays.

I worked with Bamboo Uganda (https://bamboo-uganda.com/) to construct and design bamboo installations across the Nyege Nyege festival site.

I worked with a team to renovate and freshen up the venue space with sustainable and recycled designs. We created hangings, plant holders, light installations, and sisal installations.

I was responsible for decorating and designing the interior space and all outdoor decor for the Lookout Airbnb. I designed the space, such as by installing curtains, furniture, tables, etc., as well as creating visual art and hanging installations to beautify the space.

Artist Statement:
Step into a realm where tradition intertwines with modernity and the essence of African masks is reimagined through the medium of wire sculptures. This collection delves into the core of these timeless masks, exploring their significance, history, and evolution. Crafted with meticulous attention, each wire figure encapsulates the spirit of change, inviting viewers to experience the masks from multiple vantage points.

Inspired by the rich legacy of African masks, this collection harmoniously blends traditional motifs with contemporary minimalism. The materials have shifted from wood and stone to wire and recycled glass beads, symbolizing a shift in resources and a sustainable outlook. The wire, stripped down to its elemental form, accentuates the emptiness and simplicity of the masks' features. Yet, as onlookers explore different angles, these wire sculptures metamorphose, presenting an ever-changing narrative that mirrors the masks' multi-dimensional cultural significance.

The collection comprises twelve pieces, mirroring the months of the year, drawing a parallel with the perpetual cycle of transformation. Each piece bears a name drawn from the Persian calendar, connecting the artist's heritage with the evolution of African artistry. These names resonate with the fusion of cultures, underlining the collection's universal appeal.

I created a line of headwear known as moalagh.
Title: "Moalagh"

"Moalagh" can be loosely translated from Persian to English as "hovering". I decided on this given name as I feel the pieces have the power to make you feel like your floating through another world whilst wearing them. They're made from tough wire and colourful beads from recycled glass. The wire is simple and strong, while the glass beads are full of life and stories.

I wanted to mix simple with fancy, you know? The collection is not just about cool accessories, it's about taking you on a journey through different feelings and times.
It's about seeing beauty in everyday things, both simple and fancy."

I performed with an American band named Modelhomedc (https://www.instagram.com/modelhomedc/) and a producer from the Democratic Republic of the Congo named Ray Sepiens (https://www.instagram.com/rey_sapienz/). We recorded in a studio and also performed live. I had constructed an instrument out of a plastic bottle and a fish string that I called Tak Tar, which means single string which I played during my performance at the festival.

one of my most recent collection.
After the sculptures and masks are finished, I
sketch them, engrave them on galvanize, and
Print the results on paper. Since the combination
of texture and color in these prints
only happens once; each hand print is distinctive
and unusual.

I was responsible for creating and designing, a Christmas tree at the school using the handprints of the children. I also created a letter-box and drew designs of Christmas characters which the children used to then decorate the letterbox with.

My course included graphic design, painting, photography, printing by hand, sculptures, geometric design, principles of design, foundations of visual arts, and packaging design. We also learned how to use softwares such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel Draw, Corel painter and Indesign.

My course included the principles of character design. I learnt softwares such as Adobe aftereffect, Zbrush, Maya, 3Dmax, Premier, Photoshop and Digital paint.

My course included learning the principles of footwear design which was a course facilitated by some of the top footwear designers in Iran.

My course included learning how to craft recycled glass and the basics of blowing glass and bead making.
