Illustrator, Taoist Folktale

I illustrated, printed, and published a version of the classic Taoist-based folktale called The Stonecutter, available in local bookstores and libraries including Curious George and the Harvard Bookstore and now online via the iPad and other devices through the San Francisco-based children’s book publishing company FarFaria (www.farfaria.com). Involved some tablet design work.

Created campaign-oriented graphic design & branding for a variety of digital research products and services in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment for universities, corporations, libraries and other markets in both the US and abroad. Unique projects included websites, microsites, flyers, print and web ads, brochures, photography, illustrations, hand-drawn maps, presentations, logos, icons for mobile apps, custom blogs, e-mail blasts, and several other projects. I also played a key role in developing new branding work for outside clients partnering with the company such as MeL, BadgerLink, West Virginia Library Commission, IESE, INFOhio, GALILEO, Louisiana State Library and others. From time to time, I typically assisted junior staff and print vendors with whatever they needed.
