Born in St. Louis, Vincent Mattina began his love affair with art at a very early age. Ever
since he was first able to hold a crayon he knew he loved art. Throughout his early
years and onto adulthood his love of art captured his soul. His passion and resolve to
educate himself in the visual arts led him to Columbus College of Art and Design.
Where he graduated with a BFA in fine art & illustration in 1987. In 1990 he moved out
of St. Louis and into the Los Angeles area. He gained recognition in commercial art by
working in the Fashion, Marketing & Advertising industries.

Feeling the need to express himself as well as having a visual story to tell, Vincent
decided to follow his first love and branch out into the world of fine art. He has had
many art shows in various galleries while living in the southern California. He has won
numerous awards including “Best of Show”, “Best in Category” and “1st Place”. The
most recent “1st place” was won in a juried competition at the “Holladay Fine Art Show”
in Utah where he now resides.

Vincent is influenced by the dilemma of technology, environmentalism, our loss of
privacy, and the spirituality of dreams. His love for the environment inspired him to
bring discarded objects into his work. He feels the need to recycle, reuse and re-purpose
as much as he can, and to reduce the amount of waste produced for the betterment
of us all.

His richly detailed work will transport you to an alternate reality where science, nature
and spirituality evolve. Vincent has shown in museums and galleries throughout country
and his works grace the homes of art collectors. Read Less
