Veronica Buitron

Designer

Brooklyn, NY, USA
Design is my practice because it is interested in the other; this means that the object will leave my hands and my mind to interact with a public. The designer is therefore generous, willing to learn from users to come up with an object and an experience. Design for me is like an offering or a bet (to give relief or to incommode) that wants to create awareness on any given topic.

My goal as a designer is to make object offerings to local communities and minorities. My practice wants to be collaborative and sensible to the local cultures , diversity and the environment . I have come to believe that sustainable and socially engaged design is the explorative place where my voice can be heard.
