From a young age I had an innate love for art and wanted to be an artist...but I was told to pick a "real job." I graduated with a BS in Art Education, minoring in Art History in 2008. I moved around trying to find my place in life, eventually ending up in Virginia where I taught visual arts at a couple schools over the course of 3 years. While in Virginia Beach I exhibited my art work in a major museum for the 1st time and created a poster to advertise a benefit event, which re-sparked my passion for art. So, I returned to Pennsylvania in 2015, still teaching (Art History online and public school art), but began working towards my Digital Design Diploma at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. After graduating in 2016, I took a huge step: I took a job as a Resident Artist, where I travel to various locations to teach art AND graphic design AND dance (always a hobby of mine!). The job is only part-time, though, which is totally scary, BUT I now have more time to focus on freelancing and getting design experience, and creating my own art works. We'll see how this goes. :-/

In my free time, I love attending live music and can twirl around with the best of them. My days are full of music, although I can't sing a tune or carry a beat if my life depended on it. :-P I'm a total empath, but that doesn't stop me from torturing my pets with my bad singing and dancing. I have a German Shepherd, cats, and turtles that act as an amazing family, but pretty bad roommates. ;-) I frequently read and do Yoga. I take my dog for a walk almost every day and try to get to any sort of noncity-ish park as often as possible, as nature is where my soul is happiest. I enjoy things I'm terrible at, like Frisbee golf, video games, snowboarding,...the list goes on and on. I take great pleasure in the small things in life. I have a close circle of friends and an amazingly supportive, slightly crazy family. I just love life, laughter, happiness, and beauty. Read Less
