From a young age I had an innate love for art and wanted to be an artist...but I was told to pick a "real job." I graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2008 with a Bachelors in Art Education, minoring in Art History. I moved to Houston, TX where I worked at a daycare and taught dance to toddlers at daycares around the city. I moved back to Pennsylvania in 2010 where I substituted in 5 different school districts, taught Art History online for a community college, and began creating traditional art under commissions. In 2012 I moved to Virginia Beach and, in 3 years, I taught art to k-12th grade students at 4 different schools, while also teaching art and dance for an after-school/summer camp. While in Virginia Beach I exhibited my art work in a major museum for the 1st and created a poster to advertise a benefit event, which re-sparked my passion for art. So, I returned to Pennsylvania in 2015, still teaching Art History online and teaching k-8th grade art, but began working towards my Digital Design Diploma at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. I plan to move to the designing field as soon as I can. I love teaching, but feel that it's so focused on lesson plans, pleasing administration, and classroom management. I want my life to be centered around something bigger, and I want to do more creating.

In my free time, I love attending live music and can twirl around with the best of them. My days are full of music, although I can't sing a tune or carry a beat if my life depended on it. :-P I'm a total empath, but that doesn't stop me from torturing my pets with my bad singing and dancing! I have a German Shepherd, 3 cats, and 2 turtles that act as an amazing family, but pretty bad roommates. ;-) I frequently read and do Yoga. I take my dog for a walk almost every day and try to get to any sort of non-city-ish park as often as possible, as nature is where my soul is happiest. I enjoy things I'm terrible at, like frisbee golf, video games, snowboarding,...the list goes on and on! I take great pleasure in the small things in life. I have a close circle of life-long friends and an amazingly supportive, slightly crazy family. I just love life, laughter, happiness, and beauty. Read Less
