Freelancing as early as high school, I often had opportunities to ply my abilities and graduated Eastern Kentucky University with a BFA in Illustration and Graphic Design. I got positions with corporate advertisers and design firms, plus public and private entities for graphic design and caricatures.
I continued freelancing but also worked 25 years in the newspaper industry as a graphic designer, illustrator and news editor before stepping away from news design/journalism to move to Los Angeles and concentrate on pure illustration. Read Less
