I've always been illustrative, detail oriented. The quiet kid doodling in class who never really grew out of it. Won a few art competitions locally, and then eventually made the jump to design (with a little resilience and rebelliousness, but none the less I did.)

Last two and a half years I've been wrapping up a combination of a halted Graphic Design degree as well as completing a Web & Interactive Associates. Needless to say, I'm looking to get my hands dirty, my plates spinning. Whatever euphemism fits best. Read Less

Just wrapped up a contract position as a Production Artist & Graphic Designer for a medical supplies and promotional products, learned a lot. Needless to say, I think the most fun I had was the stiff learning curve of going from pleasantly reliable HTML5 and CSS3, to taking the way back machine to learn HTML and tables like I was back in high school all over again. I learned a valuable lesson though, constraints do force you to push yourself to the limits as a creative. Marketing was even more of a challenge, and I'm still learning on that front. I like coding, I like Sublime Text or Brackets, I like designing web mockups... That's not to say I've abandoned print, but I like digital more. Read Less

I'm hoping within five years that there will be hover-boards and that I will have picked up .Net/ASP, worked out the kinks of my knowledge of JavaScript with repetition, and made my way into one of the many local firms in the Twin Cities Metro as a Front End Developer with a strong design background. I also enjoy the prospect of Node.js platforms for application and database alternatives, although its too early to tell if PHP will be on the way out before 2020.
