My favorite Bible passage is Psalm 18:2 “The Lord is my work, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

My life came to a crashing halt in November 2006. I was injured with an IV needle while in the hospital to get rid of a migraine I had for a week. The IV needle hit a nerve that caused permanent nerve damage and severe pain. I was diagnosed with an incurable chronic neurological pain disease called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome {CRPS} in 2008. It took six doctors over 15 months to figure out I was suffering from CRPS. It has taken me four long years to find the right pain management that works for me.

CRPS has changed my life forever. I cannot change what has happened to me, but I can move forward and live my life the best way I can. CRPS is not just a painful disease, but it changes every aspect of your life. I have learned to cope by living my life day-to-day, enjoying my life no matter what, and never give up hope. Everything happens for a reason and God is in control.

I get my hope, faith, and courage every day from my Heavenly Father, my wonderful family, and my awesome friends. Read Less
