Speck Design

Industrial Designer

• Managed project progress, developed iterative design solutions and
partnered with engineers to create functional and appearance prototypes
of a revolutionary interactive book to be showcased in Google I/O.

• Collaborated with the User Insights team to explore and deeply
understand user interaction with kidney monitor prototypes which led to
a successful grant funding.

• Converted design sketches into CAD models, created appealing
renderings, and product animations assets to use in client’s crowdfunding
campaign for a consumer handheld device.

• Created fullscale foamcore and wood models to provide a clear
understanding of the human factors which led to the final product being
used in a major retail store.

Industrial Design Intern

• Generated sketches, renderings, and user scenario storyboards of
potential products for sales support, including a smart mirror that was
well received by the R+F client senior management team.

• Led communication and relationship with a local packaging vendor for a
bicycle accessory from initial concepts to final premium edition
prototypes delivered to Ford senior management team.

Omielife

Industrial Design Intern

• Collaborated with lead designer from IDEO to generate design concepts
and foamcore prototypes of optimized children’s lunch boxes, one of
which was chosen as the final concept for next iteration.

• Contributed to numerous stages of the lunch box design process through
ideation, branding, CAD design surfacing and user testing.

• Participated in user research of the final lunch box prototype that led to
significant product improvements by crafting questions and documenting
results through interviews with intended users including parents,
stakeholders, and children.
