A lifelong artist, Grant has spent the last 20 years perfecting his bronze metal finishing skills -- something that has allowed him special flexibility in his creative work. His sculpture reflects both research and personal experience in ancient traditions, especially Celtic and Native American -- traditions that support Grant's personal focus of visually representing the unity among people, across nations, and throughout the world. For a "day job," Grant co-owns, with his wife Kristin Donnan Standard, Black Hills Bronze, a full-service fine art foundry, located just a stone's throw from two of the world's largest stone carvings, Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorial. The foundry serves a passionate constituency of South Dakota artists, along with sculptors from states across the country. Black Hills Bronze features "Beyond Full Service," an outreach program supporting the conception and development of monumental projects for individuals, organizations, and businesses. Read Less
