Halilibrahim Shevket

Graphic Designer

Birmingham, United Kingdom
Known for being flexible, hard working, creative, driven, punctual, having a good sense of humour, polite, respectful and outgoing. A wide variety of experience within the Adobe Software is also present. Strong communication and team working skills to motivate and massage creative concepts to produce an outcome. Technical and troubleshooting skills are also present, with an ever-present hunger to improve and learn other skills on the way. A workplace that challenges me to perform and improve my skills, and an environment that offers me to help others as much as learning from them.

After graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Architectural Design Technology during the recession period, I started HND Graphic Design, where I have learnt a mass amount of creative skills. It has been a steep learning curve but I have found something that I have a huge passion for.

Recently I have completed one year, working in the marketing department for Birmingham Metropolitan College, as a graphic designer & front end web designer to create microsites for curriculum departments. Alongside this I took the role of looking after the college’s Social Media network, which included; Facebook, Twitter, YouTube & Pinterest. I also had the chance to prove myself behind the camera, and was asked to take the photography & videography. These were used on microsites, presentations and on the social media networks.

Work Experience

Coventry University College

Graphic Designer

Looking after Coventry University College (CUC) & Coventry University Scarborough Campus (CUSC) branding and graphic design jobs.

Revamping the CUC brand to make sure it delivers the correct message to their audience. This includes graphics for online/offline. Also looking after print; prospectuses, mini guides, leaflets & newsletters

When I first started (21st August 2015) CUSC only had a logo, but no brand behind it to make a good impression. Going through several changes before cementing the decided style for CUSC. Also looking after online/offline graphics, alongside their prospectuses and also marketing material to introduce a brand new campus in Scarborough.

Birmingham Metropolitan College

Graphic Designer

My first year included working in the marketing department as a Graphic Designer to produce microsites for specific curriculum areas. Microsites for ‘The Academy at Kidderminster’, ‘Samsung Skills Academy’ were the main sites that I concentrated on. Alongside this, I also looked after the social media networks, which included Facebook. From an inactive Facebook page with 900 fans, I was able to get it active and take the numbers to 3000, with it still rising. I was also given the chance to work behind the camera, where I was asked to take photography and videography. All videos were edited in either Adobe After Effects or Final Cut Pro. Videos were either uploaded onto YouTube, microsites or social media usage.

In my second year at Birmingham Metropolitan College, I was mostly involved in producing prospectuses, courses directories, adverts within newspapers and online. I also designed 6/48/96 sheet billboards for the new academy ‘The Academy at Kidderminster’ and also the Summer Campaign for 2013. I also produced communication materials for partnered businesses, curriculum and for the principal or the College. Alongside this I was also involved in producing a small magazine for the English department.

Software used; Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D & Final Cut X.
