There is a misconception that design is expensive, random, endless, mysterious and messy. Some people would say that appearance doesn't counts and all tastes are in the nature after all. The concept of a freelance graphic designer is inappropriately acknowledged and often misunderstood. Some people think that knowing how to work Photoshop is enough to proclaim itself a designer. Don’t be fooled and confuse a computer operator, an artist or just a fan of Adobe with a Graphic Designer. As you will se, design needs skills, art, culture & design knowledge, creativity, work, precision, patience, and collaboration. It is an on going process that takes many hours to complete. Graphic design can also bring a lot to a company when it’s produced by a professional.

Here are 6 reasons why it is better to invest in a professional design:
1 – It makes a better first impression.
2 – It provides a more effective communication.
3 – It keeps a consumers more engaged.
4 – It presents the right image of your company
and evokes attention to detail.
5 – It means happier clients.
6 – It is a long-term investment.

There are several studies that have proven that a company with a professional and efficient design will more likely to have sales growth. If your company presents itself adequately, if the message is clear and the image is coherent, your company will be attractive to your target audience. It will even be easily recognized and differentiated from all the competitors.

A professional design also increases trust and can only benefit your business. Appearance is important to reassure the customer, gain his confidence and maybe even his loyalty to persuade to try the product a first. People crave for good looking infographics to communicate a message. Always keep in mind that you only have a few seconds to make your first impression. Your expertise and your primary concern are to ensure good service and / or sell your product. Do not hesitate to delegate your image to a professional.

Finally, your design pieces are the "soul" of your company and that is why it is essential not to neglect the time and budget. Your design needs longevity and has to be original. It it should also look professional and reflect the time, thought and effort put into it.

RESEARCH:
I start by gathering as much information as I can about your business. I want to know everything there is to know about you, your competitors, your target market, culture, your marketing goals, graphic designs, color theory and all other aspects. Part of this comes from the initial consultation and communication with you, and part comes from primary research.

BRAINSTORMING:
Once I have enough information, I start incorporating ideas and brainstorming. This involves exploring all the possible mental associations with the key concepts stemming from the research phase.

IDEATION (SKETCHING):
I finally get to put pencil to paper. I will sketch as many ideas as my brain can come up with. Once I’m satisfied with the design, I put the work down and do something else to get my brain to switch modes so I can evaluate the ideas more objectively.

RENDERING:
With a fresh mind, I go back to the sketches and start critically evaluating the concepts. I’ll take the best ideas, clean them up, and then boot up the computer.
First Draught Presentation & Review:
Now that I have an idea to show to you, it’s time to work together again. We review the concepts, discuss which idea works best, and suggest improvements.

REFINEMENT:
I take all the suggestions and make the changes to the design if needed. I start working colors and textures into the logo, based on a combination of personal aesthetic choices, client preferences, and color theory such as contrast or size, shapes and colors to draw attention to various elements to make a better visual impact.

SECOND REVIEW:
Again, we will review the design together and decide on final refinements if there are any.

APPROVAL:
Of course, just because I think it’s ready doesn’t mean you do, but if you’re happy, then the design is approved. If you are not satisfied, I continue the modifications until it reach your desired outcome or budget.

FILES OUTPUT & LAUNCH THE PROJECT:
Once the project is complete, I will output the logo in several file formats and sizes. Read Less
