Sarah Scully

Falmouth, United Kingdom
I am an innovative and enthusiastic designer, I enjoy working on projects that are both interior and exterior based and am intrigued by the boundaries between the two. I am a reliable and organised worker and am flexible working in a team or individually. I am a confident and a quick learner.
My interest in Interior lies within the adaptation and re-use of existing spaces, taking a building that has historical or local interest and re-interpreting it for a new use. I am also interested in branded space, translating and reflecting a brand into an existing interior or exterior space. My aim is to expand my knowledge and experience of design and interiors though working as part of a team in the field.

Workshops

AIA Workshop - London 22nd October 2011

I was invited to attend an event run by the AIA and BIID in October 2011. The event allowed student from universities all over the country to join and collaborate on a one day design project. We were given the opportunity working in teams of around 8 students and one design mentor (A practising designer or architect) to develop a proposal for a new wing to the British Museum. This event gave me the opportunity to work with people I had never met in a design environment. It was a good experience and a lot of fun, something I would definitely consider doing again.
