A Chicago native, Jan now lays claim to the Southwest as her adopted home.

Throughout her career as a graphic designer, Jan has partnered with a wide variety of clients, coordinating marketing activities and overseeing the design and production of award-winning visual communications, corporate branding programs, and business graphics. Jan's early work in architecture and interior design led to a passion for the decorative arts, now reflected in her stylized photographic illustration, design and patterned surfaces for commercial and fine art application.

Jan holds a BFA in Visual Communication from Northern Illinois University. She is a member of the New Mexico chapter of the AIGA, Women in Design New Mexico, and past program director for the Society of Typographic Arts in Chicago. No stranger to traditional image-making, Jan appeared in Kartemquin Film’s documentary, TYPEFACE, as a letterpress printer. Her digital photographic work has appeared in Best of Photography 2014, an annual publication sponsored by Photographer's Forum Magazine and Sigma Corporation of America, and most recently, at the LH Horton Gallery, Stockton CA.
