I am currently an undergraduate student (B.A. Spec. Hons. Digital Media) in the Lassonde School of Engineering. As a developer, I am currently focusing creating on three-dimensional user interface designs and haptic technologies for mixed reality applications using depth sensing computer vision, machine learning, physical computing, and 3D printing. I have been working with Professor Graham Wakefield as research assistant / software developer in the Alice Lab for Computational World Making in the School of AMPD (Arts Performance Media & Design) @ York University. I was also working with Professor Caitlin Fisher last year in the Augmented Reality Lab within the Future Cinema Lab at York University. In my own research, I have been using the Oculus Rift, Leap Motion, and Microsoft's Kinect v2 to bring my full body into the virtual environments I have been creating within Autodesk Stingray, Lumberyard, Cry Engine 3, Unreal Engine 4, Vizard 5 and Unity 5. I was in the Microsoft's Kinect for Windows v2 Developer Preview Program and have utilized the Kinect v2 for applications such as multi-user tracking, speech recognition, 3D scanning point clouds / meshes and virtual object interaction / manipulation. I also work with other depth sensing computer vision devices such as the Intel's RealSense3D and Google Tango devices. I develop with various micro-controller platforms including Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Intel Edison, and NVIDIA Jetson TK1. Read Less
