Romeo Reidl

Romeo Design

Budapest, Hungary
I am a precise, reliable and quality-oriented UI / UX expert and art director working fulltime in the digital design field since 2000. From the first draft and the customer meeting to the last refinements I am highly skilled, to put complex digital products into feasible and user-friendly form. I have exceptional skills in multitasking several roles and responsibilities throughout the design process.

I like taking an active involvement in the team's strategy and processes including project managing (leading) the full design process from ideation to implementation. I'm enjoying the problem solving aspects of really complex design challenges and creating more efficient products and services. I can understand technical constraints, their impact, and I'm able to adjust the design approach accordingly. I like mentoring other designers, leading creative brainstorming within the team and to be the connection between clients, business, and development teams.

Over the course of my 20-year career, I gained knowledge in project, product and client management, and system analytics as well. I have acquired significant experience in continuous direct communication with developers, working in an international enterprise type environment, working with agile/scrum teams (simultaneously with several even international teams), leading small design teams, coordinating and working with external colleagues.

Work Experience

CAE Engineering Kft.

UX / UI Designer

CAE is a Canadian manufacturer of simulation technologies and the worldwide leader in training for the civil aviation, defence & security, and healthcare markets with over 10,000 employees in over 35 countries. I worked (mostly as product designer) on several different projects as part of different agile scrum teams:

- ILMS - The Integrated Logistics and Management Service is a continuously developed scalable and modular web-based comprehensive SaaS-type application that facilitates the operation and asset management of defence & security and civil simulation sites across the globe. In our agile-based design-driven development process my task was to expand the current version with new solutions and features and, in parallel, to design the next, fully modernized new ILMS version with maximum consideration of our users’ needs. I designed end-to-end user experiences from ideation to execution while communicated with our global customers. Did lot of user interviews, feasibility meetings, created user and workflows, mockups, high fidelity layouts, developed interactive prototypes, built a new design system.
Designed extended ILMS features for touch enabled devices (Kiosk, tablet),
