I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. Growing up I had a passion for art, science and nature. Wanting to combine these interests, I pursued my undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Toronto, receiving my Bachelor of Science in Zoology and my Masters of Science in Biomedical Communications (BMC). After graduating from the BMC program, I worked for a biomedical art studio for seven years as a scientific illustrator and animator producing visuals, predominately for undergraduate textbook publications. I have contributed to over 70 textbooks. Since 2003, I have been working for a medical legal studio in Toronto as an associate art director and medical illustrator producing visuals for personal injury lawyers. I have also been running a freelance business in my spare time. Some of my current freelance projects include illustrating extinct vertebrates for a fossil field guide, creating illustrations of giraffes and their unique neck anatomy for the Toronto Zoo, designing a collector coin for the Royal Canadian Mint and working on improving and revising my co-authored book, The Dissection of Vertebrates, published by Elsevier/Academic Press. My work has won numerous awards and has been displayed in many international exhibitions. Read Less
