In 1990 Anthony Fisher began creating digital illustrations, which lead to creating electronic comics in 1995. For more than 20 years Fisher has been able to determine the role of digital art and how it can be combined with traditional methods to create ideal results in visual storytelling. Fisher believes that digital art is a model format to enhance productivity, whereas traditional methods provide for expression of the artist’s vision. The merger of these two concepts has lead Fisher to new methods in increasing productivity in his artwork. The foundation of Fisher’s work is grounded in answering the question “What if…?” This has lead Fisher into experimentation and innovation in visual storytelling by engaging in interdisciplinary projects that involve using methodologies and applications from animation, film, game design, interactive design, architecture, industrial design, physics and mathematics.
