I learned to make books still before learning to read, playing with papers, bending and gluing them, in order to do my own scrapbooks, which later I filled with my drawings.
In Florence, Italy, where I lived for three years, I became a book conservator. This is now my job, but I spend the most part of my time making hand bound books.
Each of my books is an adventure, but an adventure that doesn’t end once the binding -most of them are blank books- is finished. A book is done only when it is finally opened and filled with images and letters; only when the very first word is written on its pages. Read Less
