I was a Puppet Fabrication Intern. During my 2 month internship I worked in the Costume department, where my duties were hand stitching, machine embroidery, fabric dying. I also worked in the Hair department assisting in posable wig making for the puppets, and the Background Character department, where I learned soft and hard molding and soldering.

At StoneLion Puppet Theatre we make all puppets and sets in-house. This means sculpting, making wooden or plastic frames, sewing by hand and on machine, dying fabrics, paper-mache, and painting (just to name a few.) I do a little bit of all of these processes, depending on what project is being worked on.

I also help during festivals, either roving the crowd performing with a puppet or working with kids at the craft table.
