Originally from Beijing, China, Nan Cao is a multi-faceted designer and illustrator who specializes in narrative, pattern, fashion and editorial works.
She is now living in New York City and attending SVA in the Illustration as Visual Essay MFA program. She loves reading fairy tales, classic novels, having adventures in museums and day dreaming. Her works are inspired by her daily observations in real life as well as her imaginings from her reading and day dreaming. She has worked with a range of clients for publication and advertising.
Her works were selected by the Society of Illustrators in the 2014 Student
Scholarship Competition and again in 2016. Her works have also been Shortlisted by the jury of the WIA in 2017. She also won the Merit Award in 3X3 Illustration Professional Shows No14.
