Work Experience

Doubleshot Creative

Freelance Designer

I was brought onboard with the company to assist with the development of a landing page for a high end computer company's wearable line. We worked from a template to come up with the over all look. Once we had a template in place, I used a style sheet to come up with the over all look and feel.

Sadly after a month into the process the project was canceled by the client we were creating the page for.

Free Range Studios

Freelance Motion Designer

I was in charge of re-editing a pre existing visual presentation for a non-profit organization called ACE (Alliance for Climate Education). The work included deconstructing and reconstructing a video that included heavy motion graphics, keying and tracking. I used scratch audio as a reference for the timing within the motion. The finished video was put into a live presentation shell and was played along side a live presenter.

Education

Expression College

Bachelor of Applied Sciences

Courses included intensive training with graphic animation, color, layout and type. Real world training was included as we worked with actual music bands as well as a non-profit organization called LEJ (Literacy for Environmental Justice). The program was also an accelerated one meaning, I had little to no brakes in between terms. Over all the experience was more than valuable and gave me the bedrock for my work ethic.

That Darn Persuit of Happiness

Im sure every person on earth wants to find a way to carve out a comfortable life for themselves but it's always easier said than done. But I think the point is to never give up. It's always going to be an uphill battle but it's that battle that makes the destination so worth while. I know at the end of the day, even though this is my passion, I need to make a life for myself. Because as much as we love doing what we do, passion alone isn't going to pay the bills.
