COLORIST OF HISTORICAL PHOTOGRAPHS
The world was never black and white—it was always in color. Vibrant, delicious colors. Her photography is an interpretive envisioning of this long-ago world, lending a realistic portrait of a time, place and people as they really were, beyond shades of grey and tones. Chatel closely researches, spending untold hours, sometimes days, to match the vibrancy of the constant moments of the 20 th century, lending a new artistic interpretation of the vision—and-context- -of photographers in the past.
