Five day workshop and lecture series with Cheryl Porter. Learned the origin, use, composition, and decomposition of pigments, inks, and dyes used throughout the medieval period. Created, tested, and discussed pigments on paper and alum-tawed skin.

Simplified Binding Workshop, Boston MA Nov, 2013
Three day workshop with French trained binder Sonya Sheats. Created a leather binding using the technique developed by Sun Evrard, which employs three separate pieces of leather as covering material in a simplified “full leather binding.”

One day workshop with Chena River Marblers, Regina and Dan St. John. Learned to marble several different patterns including stone and traditional comb designs.

Five-day intensive with Greg Wyatt. Studied the art of sculpting through lecture, instruction and the working of wax and plasticine. Final work cast in bronze.
