My name is Fedde Souverein, I have years of experience being the manager and supervisor of a team of creatives with whom I work on projects for national as well as international clients located in the US, UK, the Netherlands and the Middle East.

I was the head of the CGI department at Souverein Weesp, where I acted as the supervisor and manager of international projects.

I have been working in this field for quite a few years and have a lot of experience with large, complex projects. I always aim for the highest quality in my work and really like leading my team to ever increasing efficiency and new levels of expertise! I am the CG supervisor and manager postproduction for International jobs at Souverein Weesp and lead the CG team within the company.

Duties and responsibilities;

- Setting up and guiding projects on an international level with various clients from different cultures.
- Managing the CG to post-production pipeline and making sure the communication between the two goes as efficiently as possible.
- Making sure the communication between the client and the postproduction team goes as fluently as possible without too much interference.
- Discussing current and future projects and sketches with art-directors, project-managers and clients.
- Providing artistic and technical notes to the CG team and the postproduction team.
- Following the CG elements from concept through final comp and overseeing everything created by the team.
- Taking feedback from client and making sure these are interpreted correctly.
- Writing production proposals and suggesting the best approach/work-flow for a project.
- Guiding post production in Photoshop and After Effects
- Interviewing, training and guiding new talent and interns
- Writing articles and doing interviews that are requested by various magazines and sites
- 3D modelling, texturing, shading and rendering.
- Texture creation
- Scene lighting and shading set-up
- Overseeing hardware and software investments and options for the department.

I use my talents as a 3D shading and lighting expert and my experience in Photoshop to support our team and help them develop their talent and also to suggest clients the optimal approach for a project.

I also manage and guide the online presence and portfolios of our company on the internet.

Having the general job title of Operator Creative Production I am actually the head of the CGI department within the company.

I discuss current and future jobs with clients, converse with photographers and art-directors about the visuals, write production proposals, plan the best approach for difficult projects and guide the other CG artists.

I am a Mental Ray shading and lighting expert and have many years of experience with Autodesk Maya as a CGI generalist (modelling, animation, particles, fluid effects, etc).
I also have a high degree of experience as a Photoshop expert which I generally use for postproduction on CGI stills, compositing and texture creation.

Deciding on what technological and software choices have to be made in the present and future and how to implement these in the various departments is also something I'm often consulted for.

I also train and guide interns and new CG employees when applicable. Managing and guiding the online presence and portfolios of our company on the Internet and various websites is also an important part of my job.
