Born in the summer of 1990, I entered the world in a manner not to dissimilar to how I grew up in it, naive, innocent, confused and awkward.

Things changed around 2006 when one day on a whim I decided to go and study a Multimedia BTEC at South East Essex College, partly because I liked to be visual, mostly because he only wanted to do one course. Little did I know that this would change my life completely.

Following on from here I made a last minute decision to do a Graphic Design course at Portsmouth University which much to the dismay of the tutors and fellow class mates I stuck out for the full three years. Whilst here I learnt how to design properly with ideas and concepts. More importantly, I learnt how to post rationalise.

The summer that followed was a dark time, entering a job market fiercer than a rottweiler in heat, not knowing when or even if I would get a job. After a few months of attempting to freelance and interning at London branding agency Lethal I managed to get a job at digital comms agency Precedent, I'm still not sure how and think it's best not to question it.

Whilst I may not have any real awards under my belt after missing out on two years of YCN and an ISTD. I have won the Portsmouth University Graphic Design and Typography pub quiz two years running, which at the end of the day is all that really matters. I'm not bitter I swear. Read Less
