As a co-creator and Creative Director of Buckets & Borders, I have designed five outdoor basketball courts for local high schools and neighbourhoods, contributing to the organization’s goal of refurbishing basketball courts to bring people together and improve communities. I also designed various merchandise such as t-shirts, hoodies, shorts, jerseys, hats, and custom basketballs. Additionally, I create promotional assets for our social media and events to help raise awareness of the organization and its mission.

• Hosted launch events at each court that went through a full restoration, including new asphalt, backboards, and rims. The grand opening events were attended by over 2,000 people, covered by four news outlets, and sold $9,000 in merchandise. After finishing the designs, we spent two weeks painting the courts by hand. Now, it is rewarding to see the previously unused courts be packed when I walk by.
• Completed the restoration of three full courts as a part of a larger initiative called Project Pick & Roll, taking place in Regina’s inner city communities in summer/fall 2022. Established powerful relationships within the community and raised funds from partners such as Canada Basketball to help us achieve larger projects and more of our goals moving forward.
• Planning to do projects in Winnipeg, Toronto, and Mexico for 2023-2024. Hosted a basketball tournament in San Pancho, Mexico, in early March that was attended by 100 players and locals from the community.
• Partnered with NBA Canada to complete an outdoor court restoration project in Toronto, where the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) will play their first preseason game in Canada.

With over eight years of experience in freelance design work and having worked with over 50 clients, I have continuously updated my skills to stay up-to-date with the latest design trends. My design capabilities span from building mural artwork, brand identities, packaging, and labels to graphics, illustrations, website/mobile app prototypes, and animations. I enjoy working closely with my clients, from the initial concept to the final execution, ensuring the work is not only done correctly but also meets their requirements. My ability to work collaboratively and iteratively with clients has enabled me to develop new concepts and designs that exceed their expectations. Many of my clients are thrilled with my services and are repeat customers.

As a member of the design team, I collaborate with colleagues to develop creative campaigns for top corporations across Canada while balancing tight deadlines for up to four clients simultaneously. Notably, I recently designed artwork for one of the largest billboards in the country (1,600 sq ft), earning recognition from the president of the NY Times Square Alliance and local publications. Additionally, I lead the design team in creating UI/UX responsive website prototypes, including design systems and complex components using Figma. Working closely with developers, I effectively communicate design files and provide custom CSS styling support to ensure the final product closely aligns with the original prototype.

• Led the development of responsive website designs for Ascent Strategy’s prominent clients, overseeing functionality and appearance. Created extensive design systems and well-crafted component assets using prototyping software.
• Developed visual identities for multiple clients, including a comprehensive brand audit and redesign of Ascent Strategy’s own visual assets, colour palette, logos, and typography.
• Demonstrated strong project management skills by leading design projects for clients across various mediums, including responsive websites, design systems and components, responsive and display advertisements, and out-of-home print materials.

As the sole designer at a fast-moving tech startup, I led the creation of a complete brand identity, including multiple logo lockups, style guidelines, and various visual assets. In addition, I built positive relationships with team members and senior-level staff, and played a key role in securing a partnership with Letgo, a New York-based company. Through compelling pitch decks and presentations, I helped the company secure investments and partnerships.

• Designed and developed UI/UX prototypes for an online car marketplace and dashboard portal.
• Effectively communicated with programmers, developers, and external clients in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Established design systems and standards for cohesive and straightforward product visuals.
• Created the current product website and all visual assets, including customized CSS styling.

As a co-creator and founding partner of tentree, I was instrumental in defining the brand identity and logo for this iconic Canadian clothing company. With our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, tentree has grown into a beloved global brand, selling millions of clothing items and planting over 50 million trees worldwide.

• As the first designer at tentree, I oversaw the creation of apparel and seasonal product designs from start to finish, including market research, theme development, tag and label design, and technical packages such as placement graphics and CAD mock-ups for manufacturers.
• Successfully led and mentored a team of four designers who joined the company during my time there, demonstrating strong leadership skills and design expertise.
• Coordinated with photographers and designed product line catalogue look books to ensure our tight deadlines were met and our products looked exceptional.
• Communicated with various entities such as sourcing agents, manufacturers, and retail stores to ensure smooth production processes and pixel-perfect products.
• Over 1.5 million trees were planted on behalf of tentree during my time there.
