Lakey is a street artist/poet who posts up on sidewalks wearing a suit and tie challenging the stereotypes tied to homelessness, artists, business men, and activists. His artwork which he half jokingly calls "Ultra Surrealistic Stream of Conscious" is abstract with a concentration on detail and huge palettes of vibrant colors. In a time where most popular art is stock full of hand me down symbolism Lakey tries to avoid symbols more complicated than X's, crosses, circles, triangles, and squares so as to let his subconscious speak more freely. His aim, with both his art and the way he presents himself as a person is to push people to seek out a greater perception and be aware of more perspectives. Read Less
