I originally studied Fine Art at university specializing in drawing and painting, before moving into the technology sector where I worked for Atos, a large international information technology services company in a variety of roles on both mainframe and PC platforms, covering the full software development life-cycle from design, development, testing to support and maintenance.

I was interested in pursuing a more creative route in my computing career so decided to do a Master in Arts Computing. As part of this I showed two pieces of work as part of Node, the digital art festival in London. I was interested in pushing what I could do creatively with computers further by doing a second Masters in Computer Games and Entertainment in which we were taught the techniques and technologies used in modern games including C++, DirectX, XNA, AI, physics engines and motion capture.

After graduating, I worked on a number of R&D projects for Grand Visual, who specialize in the Digital-Out-Of-Home advertising sector. I was researching more intuitive forms of interaction utilizing the Microsoft Kinect and Panasonic D-Imager depth cameras as well as exploring more novel forms of interaction using an EEG headset for measuring brain waves.

I have most recently been working as freelance interactive developer with clients including Blackberry and O2. Read Less
