RAM Mounts

Visual Designer

History:

I moved from Seattle to St. Louis in May of 2017 and was afforded the opportunity to continue working for RAM Mounts remotely, albeit in a lesser role. My previous position, that of the Senior Visual Designer, was one that needed to be performed by someone on location in Seattle. I spent a couple of months helping to onboard my replacement.

My day to day tasks include designing and developing:

• product packaging
• instruction sheets
• catalogs
• trade show booth design
• web sitelets
• website landing pages
• advertisements--both print and web
• various other marketing materials.

Career Highlights:

• Redesigned company’s flagship product packaging line, resulting in a 160% increase in B2C (retail) sales versus the previous year (see X-Grip® Product Packaging in my Behance Portfolio).

• Updated look and feel of outdated instruction sheets so that they matched the quality and branding of our newly designed product packaging. (See RAM® Finger-Grip™ Instruction Sheet in my Behance Portfolio).

• Created global packaging guidelines for three lines of products: Marine Electronic mounting solutions, X-Grip® cell phone & tablet holders, and Intellinskin™ with GDS Tech®--a universal docking and charging ecosystem.

• Promoted to Senior Visual Designer

Career Highlights:

• Developed an employee to the point where she could be promoted from Production Artist to Visual Designer. This employee is largely responsible for the current look and feel of all RAM® Mounts collateral.

• Led a team tasked with designing branding for a Holiday landing page. This landing page substantially increased consumer engagement, resulting in a year over year revenue increase of $102,000 (see this project in Behance portfolio).
