As a Freelance Web & Graphic Designer, I consistently deliver well designed and expertly developed web sites, graphics, and print work designed to convey my clients’ messages, products, and services.

My main responsibilities for this position:

Accomplishments of note include:

The Sigma Group: Utilizing Wordpress, I designed a modern, clean website that fully presents all of The Sigma Group’s award-winning services and accomplishments. I further customized the site theme with a child theme and extensive CSS and HTML knowledge.
- Results: Allowed the company’s employees the ability to update and modify the site while maintaining the integrity of the custom site design.

Burnham Building Company: Utilized Wordpress to create a web site that highlights the company’s impressive home building and remodeling projects, customer service testimonials, and professionalism. I also made further customizations to the site theme with a child theme and extensive CSS and HTML knowledge.
- Results: Enhanced visitor experience for potential clients, thereby increasing the likelihood of conversions, and created a stronger online presence.

Towne Street Theatre: Designed and developed promotional and informational HTML e-mails that are sent to the theatre company’s list members and supporters, and maintained the web site with the theatre’s most up to date goings on.
- Results: Increased awareness of the theatre’s events and fundraisers, and facilitated greater engagement by list subscribers.

Plank Road Publishing

Web Designer

Since I have been the Web Designer for Plank Road Publishing, my many contributions of design and technical skills have been instrumental in the evolution of our various web sites, most notably, MusicK8.com.

My main responsibilities for this position:
- Design new web sites, and redesign and edit existing web sites and pages.
- Regularly revise key areas of Plank Road Publishing's web sites to reflect new and featured products, seasonal products and features, and to announce new issues of Music K-8 magazine, Plank Road Publishing’s music magazine.
- Create promotional and seasonal graphics to enhance and maintain visual interest on Plank Road Publishing’s web sites.

Accomplishments of note include:
- Rebuilt MusicK8.com, including the site navigation, from a table-based, non-responsive layout, into a custom-built CSS3 and HTML5 site that is fully responsive.
Results: Brought MusicK8.com in line with the latest web standards, increased page load times, site wide, and streamlined the visitor experience.

- Created extensive style guidelines in conjunction with the above web site rebuild.
Results: Increased speed at which updates and additions are made, while maintaining the continuity of design throughout the site, while greatly reducing the amount of redundant CSS code.

- Design weekly promotional e-ads, using Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Safari.
Results: Immediate increase in sales for featured products.

- Designed a sub site on MusicK8.com, for one of our largest publishers, that pulls directly from their databases.
Results: The site has become a consistent revenue stream, including a single sale of $4,700, has received immediate praise from the publisher.

- Implemented a combination of CSS3, HTML5, and PHP to create a series of include files for MusicK8.com’s store pages for product display.
Results: The store pages are now updated 65% faster, and can be done by more people in the web department.
