I decided to take on a 6 month contract at Geely Motor Company with an option to extend. I was tasked with helping to rebuild the visualisation team and offer ideas to help with workflow, processes and equipment. I have been given the sole, lead role of producing all visuals for all advanced design programs. This includes animations, images and VRED design reviews. I have also enjoyed helping the team out during busy periods on other projects and have made a good impact within executive and chairman’s design reviews. I have settled in well with the whole design department quickly, hit the ground running and I’m enjoying my time here.

Having spent two years on the graduate scheme at JLR, I am now a fully fledged 3D CGI artist within their highly talented visualisation team.

I have built up a solid understanding of Maya, and can create conceptual or realistic environments, model, texture, light and animate to a high standard. I have also been Majenta trained in Autodesk VRED and Alias.

I have developed a keen eye on compositions of high-end stills and animations, and have a specific interest in creating eye-catching pieces in Adobe After Effects. This starts from static and video storyboarding right through the whole process, specifically timing to pieces of audio, composing renders, colour grading and adding effects to deliver it to certain design gateways or other events at a photo-realistic level.

On a 6 month unpaid placement to gain experience within the professional design world before my final year at university.

During my time, I have worked on various jobs, including surfacing and visualisation work for Jaguar and their new showcar, the C-X16.

Group design project designing the interior and exterior of a luxury SUV for the Chinese market. My roles in the project included: Organisation of the team, Interior Design, CAS Modelling, Visualization and Animation.
