For the past three years I have been invited to act as Exam Censor (external examiner) for the Animation Workshop, Denmark's leading animation institution and part of VIA University College. The role typically involves attending oral examinations for around 15-18 bachelor students, interviewing, assessing and awarding final grades.

As head of motion graphics at Prime Focus London, a global entertainment services group, I worked across a range of media including feature film title sequences, broadcast titles and in-programme graphics, commercials, apps and digital advertising panels.

Feature film titles I designed included Everywhere & Nowhere, Storage 24 and The Christmas Candle.

Prime Focus Post has since been acquired by Blue 2.0.

Responsibilities included HTML and CSS coding plus design of web pages in Photoshop for Figleaves.com, Retail Week’s online retailer of the year 2008.

I also designed numerous animated banners in Photoshop and After Effects, and helped develop their video facilities.

Companies I worked for included Passion Pictures, Bermuda Shorts, Slinky Pictures, Th1ng and Uli Meyer Animation. Regular clients included Procter & Gamble, Unilever, the BBC, Nickelodeon and MTV.

I was initially employed by Uli Meyer Studios as an animation line tester on the Warner Brothers feature film 'Space Jam'. I later became the head of the digital ink and paint department using Animo.

Commercials I worked on as compositor include Reach Toothbrushes, Taco Bell, Kelloggs Frosties and Children’s Tylenol. I also directed and animated several short trailers for Nickelodeon and Emirates Airlines as well as writing and compositing the short film Fred Bastard.

The Graphic Design course allowed an animation and film specialism from the second year onward.
