Inês Osório is a Portuguese sculptress, based in Oporto.
Develops artistic work in the field of sculpture and installation art, with some works in other medias, languages ​​and creative areas such as product design, drawing, analog photography, contemporary dance, performance/happening interventions, set design, costumes and props.
Creates, exposes and intervenes collectively and individually since 2005 in several projects and many contexts, from the educational field to art direction, artistic residences, art biennials, art galleries or alternative exhibition spots, usually under invitation or curatorial selection by national and international origin.
In Oporto, since 2011, Inês is associated with the Gallery João Pedro Rodrigues.
Post-Graduated Studies in Furniture Design, at ESEIG_IPP (School of Industrial Studies and Management), Porto
Master's Degree in Sculpture by Fine Arts Faculty of the Oporto University, Portugal.
Degree in Fine Arts-Sculpture by the same institution (5 years degree) where was distinguished with a merit scholarship. Between 2005/2006 studied at the Facultat de Belles Arts de Universitá de Barcelona, Spain (Erasmus Program Scholarship). Read Less

My work revolves around logic constructions that consider and reflect on the specific conditions and potentials between the material and the local, aiming to build three-dimensional bodies.
Despite the multiplicity of media that has been explored, the work that I developed in the recent years focuses essentially on the adaptability of a tridimensional body within a particular context, time and space (constructed as an integral part of a complex network of relations and systems of interdependencies).
